Nature Spirits.

This is a series focusing on my impressions of the spirit of nature. Huge, weathered old trees, 150 years old, branches reaching for light, leaves seemingly whisper as you pass, feelint like the embodiment of ancient spirits, beckoning, calling, quietly overseeing all who pass by.

Most of these were done during the last year I lived in New York City after my daily early morning walks through Central Park with my dogs, free to run off leash in the early hours. They were impressions of the seasons as well, as this was new and inspiring to me as a native Southern Californian who had never before experienced seasonal change..It was exhilarating to me  - I felt like a young child, experiencing the cold, frost, snow and first spring blooms, as well as the first colorful signs of Fall.
